29 Air Mexico was apparently the only airline to screen Airplane! as an in-flight movie.
There are 29 more Airplane! facts here. Good God I love that movie.

MTV has ordered an untitled put pilot from rising comic Bo Burnham.

The half-hour scripted pilot will “be about a kid fresh out of high school who’s pursing the new American dream of being a celebrity without having any talent,” Burnham told Daily Variety.

Burnham, who will write and exec produce with Dan Lagana and Luke Liacos, just came off a successful 30-day run at the Edinburgh Fringe Fest and has a Comedy Central stand-up special set to air Oct. 16.

I hope there’s a musical component (a la Flight of the Conchords) otherwise what would be the point. Also note new Comedy Central special Oct 16th.

I love Dan Aykroyd. Why? 1) He has it written into his contract that he’s allowed to wear cowboy boots in every movie he does. 2) He was the first person I ever blogged about. 3) He’s really outspoken about aliens - something you certainly don’t see everyday in Hollywood. 4) Obviously, he’s made some brilliant movies.
And now, look he’s going to be in a new Wizard of Oz movie called Dorothy of Oz in 3D.
Now, as a rule I dislike 3D films. I think they’re clunky, and it replaces a storyline, which is not the way I think films should be made.
Having said that, I do have a lot of faith in Dan Aykroyd, oh, and Patrick Stewart’s in it too.
Fingers crossed.

If movies got the actors they really wanted. There’s plenty more here.

Today, I got home from a three week business trip to find that my bathroom window had been broken into. Nothing was stolen, but now a family of birds is living somewhere in my house. FML
